Why Choose a Winter Wetsuit

Winter surfing in Northern Ireland means sea temperatures that drop well below what a summer suit can handle. Our winter wetsuits use 5mm and above neoprene, often paired with a hood, to keep you in the water for longer without the cold cutting your session short. Thicker neoprene and sealed seams are the two things worth checking before you buy, since these are what actually make the difference in winter conditions rather than brand name alone.

Chest Zip, Back Zip or Zip Free

All three entry styles are available across our winter range. Back zip suits are the easiest to get in and out of, chest zip suits run tighter and warmer since there's less flex at the zip, and zip free suits offer the most flexibility and warmth but take more getting used to. If you're new to winter surfing, a back zip is usually the simplest starting point.
